A. NOTES TO CUSTOMERS

SHOE UPPER UPPER

  • Upon wearing and walking, wrinkled creases are normally and usually formed on leather shoe upper. Certain special shoe upper materials like cotton and woven fibers, which are less than tensile than leather, are more susceptible to wear and tear resulting from frequent wearing and consistent friction with articles around.
  • All metal accessories on shoe upper should be always wiped with a dry cloth and they would be oxidized if placed under wet and salty environment.
  • This product has not undergone waterproof treatment. Grime and water stains may cause inerasable dirt and quality change. All cotton and woven fibers made shoes must not be washed.

LINING AND SOCKING

  • Colour fading and deterioration are normally and usually found in lining and socking due to prolonged touch and friction with foot or exposure to soak and mould. Therefore, socks in light colours are not recommended.

SOLE AND HEEL

  • Leather soles may mould when wetted with water. Compared with soles made of other materials, they are more vulnerable to deterioration and are advised to sole with PVC soles for longer durability.
  • Heels are normally and usually exposed to wear and tear arising from friction with ground surface.

B. DAILY CARE TIPS FOR LEATHER SHOES

  • Leather shoes should be at most worn once on alternate days. At the end of a day, your sweat will create moisture inside the shoes. To avoid bacteria arising from moisture, shoes should be laid in a cool dry place when you are at home.
  • Leather shoes, upon wearing, should be cleaned with a shoe cloth or a soft shoe brush. Dirt and dust between heel and shoe body may be swept away with a sharp shoe brush.
  • No liquid shoe polish, which may penetrate into leather shoes, should be used.
  • When polishing leather shoes, polish should be spread on a shoe cloth or a shoe brush first rather than spreading directly over shoe upper.
  • Leather shoes, if wetted, should be dried with a dry cloth and then laid in a cool dry place for natural drying. Wetted leather shoes must not be dried under strong sunshine or next to air-conditioner or by hair-dryer, otherwise crack or contraction may be occurred.
